Now visiting Christmas markets in Europe is on a bucketlist of many Decor lovers and why shouldn’t it be. As they say its the best time of year and who wouldn’t want to live their childhood dream and be all merry in Santa land or sip mulled wine in a small German town or swing through a merry go round at convent garden , witness the continent of ‘Europe’ the world capital of Christmas in all its glory. But until that dream realises for many we deck up our Homes back in India with much enthusiasm and galore and sometimes with a tad bit of an Indian touch.
At the end of it it’s a good way to bid goodbye to the year that was engulfed with happy or not so happy memories and welcome the New Years with much cheer.
Here in our home, we have slowly been amping our Christmas Decor game and building our own personal collection bit by bit. When I recently shared some of the Baubles I bought off Amazon this season, the readers requested the source. Where is your tree from ? is something that I have been answering to many all of December so I thought why not blog about it.
So here’s a round up of my favourite stores to find lovely Christmas goodies in India until our European Christmas dream materialises. Two Fingers crossed !
IKEA
IKEA is now in Three Indian Cities and also delivers to some others. In my opinion I have found really the best Christmas stuff with them. The quality and price point is wonderful and quite unmatched in India. They have a range of Faux Trees starting off from around 1k and going upto 10k and each was equally pretty with some real looking needles far far better than the ones you find in local markets. I got one Tree last year and one early this year in September when they had a flash sale running and I love them both equally. But if you ain’t looking to invest in a Fake tree just yet , I suggest consider some other Decor & Home improvement options. Their Christmas Collection is named ‘Vinterfint‘ and it has everything from Wreaths , Garlands , Baubles , Christmas Themed Crockery, Candles , and even Christmas Themed Table & Kitchen Linen. Honestly there wasn’t a thing I didn’t like. Find it here
The Orby House
This store officially is my favourite small store for consecutively two years in a row now. Their collection only gets better with each passing year. And If you are into cute & unique ceramics find here some adorable Christmas themed mugs , Santa Candles & Tree Ornaments and look no further. I have the cutest Santa candle and some ornaments from them and I cannot wait to add more from their future collections. Find it here
Wuddapple
A recent find and I couldn’t really order something from them as I was travelling much of November and December this year but their collection looks very promising. They also have stores in Bangalore & Cochin if you live around there. I really liked the collection of ceramic vintage tree ornaments and their earthy centrepieces for Christmas tablescapes and hosting your friends and family. Find it Here
The Needle Crafter
This Instagram store is run by Maitrayee and I have been constantly buying stuff from her. She specialises in handcrafted Home linens with a very vintage country theme to them which I so love. And around Christmas she comes up with exclusive hand embroidered Tree Ornaments that are so exquisite to add to your collection and keep for years maybe even pass onto the next generation. Take a look at the beautiful hand embroidered bead work ones that I got this season from her. FIND IT HERE
